The facility is 3420 feet and the records indicate that the sales price was $775,000.  The building has had several lives….a fire station, a livery was it’s initial purpose and at one time it served as an auction house.  The new name for the facility will be Cross + Main.  Rocky Top Catering and Southland BBQ will be the exclusive caterers for the venue.  Both owned by Rocky Top.

Panera

The building is well under way for the new Panera Bread located in the parking lot of local favorite Carolina Ale House.  With it’s new breakfast sandwich offerings and bottomless coffees the word is that the lines may be long at the new offering in Wake Forest.

Academy Sports and Outdoors

Speaking of staying tuned…rumor has it that Texas based Academy Sports and Outdoors is planning a 60,000 square foot store at the site of the former Parker-Hannifin business on Wake Union Church Road.  At one point Weingarten had planned a shopping center, Wake Union Place.  Currently operating 200+ stores nationwide including one in Fayetteville this will give local shoppers a place to pick up hunting and fishing gear.  In addition the rumor mill has the rest of that land being used for townhouse and multi family buildings.  “Will be an interesting project to watch” according to Paul Eitel, owner of Focus Design Builders, Llc.
